Here's the skinny on us...

Bienvinedos Y'All! 

If you are just starting to get to know us, we’re Michael (the artist/poet guy) and Victoria (the logistics goddess) Terra. For over the past 25 years we have been selling Michael’s ceramic art (unapologetic link to our online store). Due to some crummy health issues in his hands & back & shoulder, Michael is going back to his roots of painting and,  using his tablet,  he has been creating some really wonderful digital paintings. Always the poet, each painting includes one of his original poems. So there you have it...over the course of this year, we'll be introducing his Poet Paintings at art shows. Some shows will be  just  paintings and some will be just  ceramics...AND..at some we'll have two booths with both bodies of work. It's all listed in our show schedule.

Now you want to know all about our home & project in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico! 

In the beginning of 2020, we purchased a 2 bedroom house on a double lot in Colonia Olimpo in San Miguel (SMA). We always envisioned that our retirement would involve some sort of hospitality so, we decided that a spacious studio with a 4 bedroom apartment for students to stay in would fit the bill. We're in  the process of making that dream become a reality. We know A LOT of artists and we want all of our friends to come down and teach workshops. (If  you  want  to  teach  let  us  know!)

Our beloved home in SMA has needed a lot of TLC and after many trips down there to work on the house, we finally got our permit in order and broke ground on the studio building last Spring (2022). We hope to have everything completed in about a year.

We are also so very fortunate to live in the best neighborhood here in Paducah, KY...Lower Town. We landed here through a revitalization project that they called, 'The Artist Relocation Program'. We have lived here for 15 years and we love all of the creatives that are our neighbors. Paducah is a Unesco Creative City for folk art...it's a special place. 

In short...two bodies of artwork + two studios = Terra Cottage Studios. It makes perfect sense to us!

So....that's the big skinny.

We're both passionate about travel, we've got two amazing adult daughters, and we are the human servants to 4 cats.
